Hi Joachim,
Well, the problem seems to persist in 0.5rc1 so I have submitted a
ticket. I don't know if there is something "wrong" with these mp3
files but they play fine in iTunes and quicktime. I know that they
don't have any id3 tags because for some reason lame can't embed mp3
tags when transcoding from mp3 to mp3. I wonder if red5 requires id3
tags to stream mp3 files properly...
In any case, 0.5rc1 does seem to be quite improved with regards to
what I am using it for. The buffering in particular seems to work
better (doesn't just transfer the whole stream as fast as possible).
I am using this function call to set the buffer:
ns.setBufferTime(5);
Is that supported by red5? Currently I am getting bufffer lengths of
closer to 90 seconds.
Take care,
Sean
