I sent this last night using the wrong email address. Here it is again. Sorry for adding to the approval queue Aral :)
Hey all- Been keeping an occasional eye on red5 since it was announced, but haven't looked for a couple months until yesterday. Looks like things have really progressed! Unfortunately, I can't make the time right now to experiment and play with setup. I have a pretty basic need and I'm wondering if somebody on this list would be willing to consult and/or complete the setup for the scenario described below. If so, just drop me a note and we'll work out the details. I'm currently using Flash Media Server for one simple purpose: to stream FLVs. I don't need recording, I don't need live streaming, and I certainly don't need all the multi-user things. The FLVs I'm using are up to 60 minutes in length, and I need to be able to jump straight to any given point, which is why I don't just user progressive download playback. As far as the installation goes, I'm hoping we can set things up on a VMWare virtual machine inside Windows Business Server 2003, but I also have "dedicated virtual" account with MediaTemple that is running some version of RedHat. Are either of those a possibility? Regards, -Jed _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org
