hi, I'm new to Red5 Streaming Server and would like to say hello to all of you! Red5 Rocks!!!!
I downloaded the windows installation (very fast!!!) and the installation went perfectly OK and the examples are working!!! I have some questions please be patient as its all new stuff for me ;) here goes: 1) is there a documentation on how to operate all those swf demos - some of them are not clear enough and I needed to guess what to do :) ? 2) Can someone please refer me to the documentation of Red5 Architecture / Programmers guide - I couldn't find anything in the installation except the java api . 3) I understand that Red5 uses Spring + Jetty , but my question is - do you think I should develop my application (BL+DAL) on Red5 using it as my Application Server , or should I consider using Red5 as my dedicated video streamer and use another instance(process) of what ever I want to use as my web server (Tomcat for instance..) 4) Is Red5 production ready? , Can I use it and depend on it as a robust streaming server that will handle thousands of concurrent streams?? last thing - I wish there was some way to search through all the mailing list archives because my questions are very basic stuff and I'm sure someone asked them before...
