I tested this quite extensively a little while ago using both On2 Flix
Live and Digital Rapid's Stream (Stream uses the On2 SDK)

My results? It works and it doesn't.

The streams reached the server perfectly fine (.saveAs()ing from
streamBroadcastStart() made an FLV that was perfectly fine). The live
stream on the client end was unwatchable (both over the internet and my
local LAN. It'd play for a second or so, then the video would stop,
sometimes for a few frames, sometimes for a few seconds), then start and
run for anywhere from 1-5 seconds until the same thing happened.
