That was a bit rough... I'm happy to contribute, but being that I don't 
have a lot of time and the code is kind of hard to follow in places, I 
can't really find the problem.  Maybe if for the next release more time 
was spent on documentation and testing than adding features... I'm not 
trying to be mean, I'm just saying it's hard to find where issues might 
be when so few people have any clue what is going on.  And for the 
record, I have no interest in new features, I just want to see the 
current features working well.
