Hi Aleksey,

One small suggestion I have is to set your audio quality to something a little
higher, such as 11khz or 22khz as this has been shown to reduce audio encoding
latency introduced by the Flash Player. This is from Fabio Sonnati's
(http://flashvideo.progettosinergia.com/) blog:

mode (KHz) bandwidth
encoding latency

44KHz 92Kbit/s
6ms

22KHz 47Kbit/s
12ms

11KHz 26Kbit/s
25ms

8KHz 19Kbit/s
32ms

5.5KHz 13Kbit/s
50ms

Not sure if that will help you out or not, but it might. Have you tried your
app client-side with FMS to see what kind of latency you get with that?
Anyway, just some ideas. Good luck,

costin

+0400Subject: [Red5] Growing Delay in Audio chat application

Hello everybody, i got a problem. I've created a audio chat application and
even when i set "live" mode and bufferTime = 0 for incoming stream liveDelay
always grows till 1.3 sec, after it reaches 1.3 the growth stops. It's very bad
for my app as it is realtime audio chat. Audio quality is the lowest 8KHz so
it's not bandwidth problem. I tried on different computers - always the same -
liveDelay about 1.3-1.4 sec and doesn't grow anymore....

Help me plz!!! Any ideas? Luke , Joachim i like Red5 very much, but still can't
create normal realtime audiochat
