I think you have chosen good technologies.. I'd throw nellynomore
in the mix for the audio manipulating part just for good
measure. :) Audio in flv is not very "tweakable". Nellynomore
allows you to export to a wav and then go from there.

Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question. I need
confirmation that I am on the right path for a project I am
beginning. This is my first flash project.
The project I'm developing needs to record voice, stream it to a
server, manipulate the voice then stream it back for playback when
requested. There are a few more options that will be selected for
tweaking the voice before playback.
I am currently working with FlexBuilder 2. Based on the samples that
were provided with Red5, I believe I will have to implement the
following:
1. Red5 Server side similar to oflaDemo which will receive/store
retrieve/send the voice streams.
2. Flash/Flex client side similar to the publish sample.
3. Some other servlet or php for sending/receiving the other data
needed by the flash presentation.
Does this sound reasonable? I know it's probably a hard question
without knowing all the details. This seems like quite an extensive
undertaking. I want to make sure I'm not missing the boat before I
get too far down the line.
Thanks in advance,
Mona
