I have Red5 running and was playing with the echo Application. I like what I see so far.
Curious what is better for remoting( HTML or RTMP )? I am not interested at this time with data streaming, just moving data to/from the server. Pro/Cons. Also I have played with remoting frameworks for PHP and when they return result it had status field. Where do I find that with Red5? I may be looking in the wrong place. I need to be able to report an error on the server request back to the user. Do I manage that as a user? Looking thought the code I can see where it has some options but I don't see how to invoke or set the status. If there is an example of how to do it correctly, I would be grateful for it.
