Just a note to Tomcat users about recent updates to the RED5 trunk. The
latest Trunk update I am referring to is 2268

Certain changes are being made to the current trunk that effect Tomcat users
of RED5.

The new Trunk changes that effect Tomcat must be treated as a Beta.

Do* not* plan on using the current Trunk for a production site.

Currently, the only way to run RED5 via Tomcat is to build and place the
following war files (located in the red5/dist folder ) into Tomcat's default
webapps folder:
Note. The current War Trunk version will not currently run outside of
Tomcat's default webapps folder.

   1. ROOT - Rename Tomcat's current default ROOT to something else and
place the red5 ROOT.war into the default webapps folder
   2. oflaDemo - Because this app is now being treated as a *Sub-Context*,
you must place the oflaDemo.war into Tomcat's default webapps folder
   to
view the demo oflaDemo videos that come with RED5.
   3. You must do the same for echo.war and SOSample.war as well to use
   those apps.

As best I can tell, the last Trunk update regarding Tomcat that can be used
used for Production is Trunk 2228. So if you depend upon the Trunk for
Production
using Tomcat, you will have to downgrade to Trunk 2228 and apply the the
correction for SVN-1.

I now have setup two different svn's for red5. One for Trunk 2228 and one
for the latest Trunk updates. I will try to keep the Tomcat users updated as
the latest Trunk
updates are made available.

Regards,

Lenny
