Greetings all, I've just been playing with Red5 and JRuby (some extra curricular fun) and trying so far in vain to get them to play nicely together. I've read the scripting HOWTO and followed the instructions, but it's still a no go. I've been working with Red5 0.6.2 as this is the latest release version, and is advertised as having scripting support. Using HEAD is an option, but a stable release is preferable.
Following the HOWTO to the letter, with no modifications, the following error occurs when starting Red5: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.jruby.javasupport.JavaEmbedUtils.initialize(Ljava/util/List;)Lorg/jruby/Ruby; I've tried switching JRuby releases, adding support jar's where appropriate, and generally messing around with Red5 and still I'm unable to get the server running. I'm about to try the same with HEAD and see if I can make any progress. Has anyone had any success with Red5 and JRuby?
