Hi alexander,
connection with the server is managed in 'Connector' object. 
(VideoConference->Broadcaster->Connector). You can edit it in the file 
Connector.as, in 
/DEV_Source\classes\org\red5\samples\livestream\videoconference\Connector.as.
The method that stablishes the connection with the server is 
'makeConnection', executed by event throw.

Regarding what you say about sound, I can tell you that don't hear sound 
during the conference.
