Having said that, this modification does not compromise RedDot's core
functionality at all. It only enhances the client-side UI.
There are many occasions I can recall when RedDot support actually suggested
modification to the .asp or .htm files in the asp directory. Including an
incident when 75.1.85 came out and caused a lot issues amongst
users.(Support suggested to me that I did not have to use the upgrade
installer. Instead, they could tell me what lines of code need to be
modified to achieve the same patch.
Another example is when you need to add a font type to text editor pull-down
selection, you do need to manually add an <option> tag to the editor asp
page under the relevant <select>
