Thanks for reply. That's pretty much what I'm doing, the chages are being reflected on all the pages inside smart edit but only the pages that are published to the server get the changes.
It's appears like the pages are being "assembled" inside reddot and put up as a whole, rather than my thinking where the foundation page on the server is actually looking at the header page on the server, like an include.
