Hello RD'ers, We have a situation where on a scheduled publish (which is configured for all following and all related) the publishes are taking approximately 20hrs where on a similar sized project a full site publish takes under an hour.
Selecting a page which sits within a target container (but has no further links below this) results in it kicking off all the pages within that section. Questions: When you select 'all following pages' what does that REALLY mean? The 'help' file seems to indicate that it will be all pages following that point in the tree. But does that mean if the page sits within a target container its going to get say all the primary/secondary navigation that are present above it in the target container? >From a cancelled pub report it seems to indicate this as I have a heap of the following errors; Page 81 with link BF43177FCC044F80AD0638FB8E783C49: Publishing path for page 563 is empty, page will be published into root-directory That corresponds to hte page which contains my secondary navigation and then closely followed by my episode pages; Page 1415 with link B59A95D9128D4ED39978DF202C96B8FC: Publishing path for page 3581 is empty, page will be published into root-directory There are about 60 of these! What does this warning message mean and how can it help me to resolve why the publishes are taking so long. Ive seen it loads of times before but never have I seen 30-40 of these for the same link.
