Hi Ann,
What type of searches are you looking to do with verity? If its just
plain text searches it could be just as simple as flagging the content
searchable (full text search option in content group / or / in the
live server publication folder options on the cms side).
If you are looking into attribute based searches for some more fancy
functionality make sure of the following things:
1.- you are assigning the attributes from the cms side with the
keyword import dynament:
<rde-dm:import>
<keywords mode="deleteall"/>
<keywords keyword-
separator=";">Category1:keword1;Category1:keyword2;Category2:keyword1;</
keywords>
</rde-dm:import>
2.- The attributes are defined and assigned the correct value type,
attribute type, etc., in Live Server. Project -> Rules -> Administer
Attribute Declarations
3.- Make sure you define those attributes in Administer
ReddoLiveServer - > Connectors ->Search Engine -> Assign Content
Attributes
4.- Reindex project!
Also keep in mind you if the default results you aren't getting aren't
good enough there are always ways to tune up the settings (by
assigning different weights on terms of the query, changing the
default thesaurus, etc).
This covered more in detail in the Live Server Training class /
manuals by Reddot which consist of 3 sample projects: Travel, Edusite
and Bizcom. It will definitely get you started right on track.
