Hello Everyone - Due to the seeming continued lack of support by RedDot/OpenText for a real developer community with blogs/forums, etc. I have created one on the social networking platform Ning (www.ning.com).
The URL is http://reddot.ning.com, and here is an invite URL: http://reddot.ning.com/?xgi=0AM91rQ I have created an area for video tutorials, blogs, forums, 'notes' (ning's idea of a wiki), and the ability to add events, like developer get togethers, and 'groups'. Anyone can join, anyone can add content. Right now, I only have two forum categories: CMS and LiveServer. I will add more as requested. At the moment there is nothing in there, but I will add a few simple video tutorials soon. I think this google group is great and its been around for a while, but I think there needs to be a larger platform with the ability to organize content. OpenText/reddot always says they are about to create these community sites, but it never really seems to happen. I know there is one, technically, on opentext....but there is no content there. If anyone is interested in being an admin on this community, please let me know: eric.m.greenbergATgmail Thanks! I hope this goes somewhere, because it really is needed. I'm pretty new to RedDot - I love the product, but wish there was the kind of developer support that other large software platforms offer.
