Oi Renato,
1) Quando rodo o MRTG com o script gerado pelo cfgmaker ele usa uma série de
parâmetros padrão. Se eu altera-los antes de iniciar o Mrtg consigo ver as
modificações, mas se eu rodar o mrtg e o RunAsDaemon e depois alterar o
arquivo .cfg ele não faz efeito. Alguem sabe por que ?
Para valIdar as alterações no script.conf, o processo do mrtg tem que ser
terminado e restartado.
2) Como paro o MRTG de um arquivo .cfg que ja está rodando ?
Todo processo tem um pid - número identificador do processo
No unix, voce pode executar # kill -9 pid
3) Para que serve o programa FireDaemon ?
Olhando em http://www.firedaemon.com/mrtg-howto.html, deve ser o clone da
Microsoft
para o inetd daemon do unix.
FireDaemon Configuration
Once you are satisfied that your MRTG configuration is doing what you want
and generating
the appropriate graphs you need to set it up as a service with FireDaemon.
This is what we did:
c:
cd \apps\firedaemon
firedaemon -p (or firedaemonui if it is installed)
Now answer the FireDaemon questions exactly as follows:
Service Name --> mrtg
Application Working Directory --> c:\apps\mrtg-2.9.6\bin
Application Executable --> c:\apps\perl\bin\perl.exe
Application Options --> mrtg router.cfg
Auto Restart Application --> y
Processor Affinity Mask --> 0
Process Priority --> 0
Interact With Desktop --> n
Auto Start Service --> y
If you want to be really smart you can run multiple instances of MRTG on the
same machine. Just ensure that you change the service name (eg. mrtg1, mrtg2
etc.). Also you might want to modify the working directory in the
configuration file so that the HTML etc. are written to differing
directories. Finally, start the service:
net start mrtg
Check that the service has been started correctly by examining your process
list in the Task Manager and that the MRTG statistics are being updated
(point your browser at http://localhost/mrtg/). You can also check the NT/2K
event log for FireDaemon events and errors.
4) Gostaria de deixar a inicialização do MRTG automática quando na
inicialização do Windows NT. Como devo fazer ?
Provavelmente o firedaemon vai fazer isso.
