3- IPSec (vpn, testado interoperabilidade e etc).

    Today's Focus: IPv6 is coming
    ---------------------------------------------------------
    By Jeff Caruso

Support for the new version of the protocol is going into Cisco's IOS,
and Microsoft plans to release an IPv6 stack for Windows 2000. Of
course, products using IPv6 are already available from several other
vendors, but the support of Cisco and Microsoft mean that
implementations of the technology are going to be truly widespread.

To what degree will this turn of events affect enterprise users? It's
hard to say. IPv6 was developed to handle more IP addresses than the
previous version, IPv4, because the Internet is expanding so rapidly.
It also has security and quality-of-service (QoS) features built in.

In his recent column in Network World, IS manager Chuck Yoke argues
that IPv6 is no longer necessary, at least for his network. He
continues to use IPv4, but with technologies that help ease each of the
problems IPv6 was meant to address. Among other technologies, he says
he uses firewalls for security, increased bandwidth for QoS, and RFC
    1918 for IP addresses.

I'm interested in your views on the subject. Let me know what you think
after you take a look at Yoke's comments:
