NetFlow PackagingProduct OverviewNet Flow is an IOS feature that is available on many Cisco devices, which tracks the IP traffic that flows across your network, and accelerates the performance of several other IOS features. NetFlow improves the performance of the following IOS features:
The IOS NetFlow feature tracks the IP traffic that is routed by your Cisco device by using a built-in cache. Tracked information can be retrieved and viewed on-screen using "show" commands, or exported and printed in reports, which enables you to analyze the IP traffic data for a specific time period. Using the NetFlow feature, you can review traffic, trend, billing, and other traffic-related data. Router-based aggregation (RBA) is available beginning with Cisco IOS Release 12.0(3)T and 12.0(3)S. RBA enables further aggregation on the IP traffic tracked by NetFlow, which both enables NetFlow to scale on high-speed platforms and reduces data processing time.
