Chuck:
Thanks. I have RedHat 6.1 on my laptop and my hub is using a "Gate's" modem
on my wifes computer. Anyhow, I'll go check the printer and let you know if
I am successful. Thank's again for the help. I don't know about you, but I
am a Window's Developer and I am seriously thinking of changing career
paths.
I ask a serious question to a group of "true" developers and I get an answer
right away. And, I myself have helped new linux users get things installed.
Yes, I have had problems, especially with my pcmcia, on this Toshiba laptop,
but I somehow excluded the proper interrupts and I defied the bounds of David
Hind's instructions. The point is .. I am writing a complex GTK-- /C++
application and I get assistance always. In the Gate's World of Secrecy,
I always have problems finding answers to bugs in SDK, API problems, embedded
methods in Windows COM objects, etc.
Sorry for the ranting, but I love this Linux stuff. And thanks again for
your help.
