I'd suggest that you pop over to amazon.com (or Barnes and Noble, or
whatever other book source you favor) and get a book I just found.
"Computer Dictionary - Data Communications, PC Hardware, and Internet
Terminology", Mitchell Shnier, published by QUE, ISBN 0-7897-1670-4.

It's less than $20, and it looks good.  I saw the precursor, but found
it out of print; this book arrived last night, and in an hour or
so of perusal, I've not found anything wrong (except for some
grammar--typical today), and it's got some arcane items that I didn't
expect.  It's going to be a permanent part of my reference collection.
