According to the linux IDE development guy, It's not real RAID and
the software RAID (md driver) in linux is faster.

What chip is on the card?
check http://www.linux-ide.org for the chip,
or ask the IDE maintainer ( Andre Hedrick <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> )
about it. DO NOT ASK him about the RAID part.
He probably won't even answer if you do.
He was getting lots of mail about IDE-RAID
which isn't real RAID. His massage to the kernel
list showed his irratation at the marketing mess.
So just ask about support for the chips on the card
for basic use, NOT RAID.
