Hello all. I am having a bit of a problem with my ppp connection to
my ISP (BSD something). I setup using the PPP-Tips on the RedHat
site and connected to my ISP and it logged in and connected with ppp
ok (I checked with minicom).
Now the problem I am having is that once logged in my connection only
lasts for 30 seconds and I am unable to ping to my ISP. Thru minicom
I dialed, logged in and sent ppp and I get the ppp connection header
OK. After 30 seconds I am disonnected and during this time I ping my
ISP and I get no result.
I believe that my ISP is hanging me up because I am not telling it
(starting my correct ppp connection on my end is started)- just an
asumption. Anyway could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong
and how to fix it I guess for a better term.
