Sanyo CRD-256PA CDROM (still no solution)

Hello:
I'm having problems getting Linux to recognize the subject CDROM player.
I'm using RH 5.0, but the CDROM does not seem to be supported.  Anyone know
of an alternate driver in RH 5.0 that will work?  The CDROM is ATAPI.
