You'd have to put ttyp0, ttyp1, etc, in /etc/securettys to be able
to login as root remotely. Not a recommended solution, as it invites
security problems. As far as commands not being found, it's most likely a
matter of the path not being set up correctly. For the record, 'su' and
'su -' have different functions, therefore loading different paths. 'su -'
should load the root user's paths correctly. If you still don't have it
right, manually add /sbin and /usr/sbin to the path. HTH
