1/ Using Pine to read my system inbox of up to 1200 mails after each
download, I remark sometimes a delay between entering a command and the
execution of it. It's almost like the box is thinking either to do it or
not. The delays are between 4 and 6 sec. Anybody...??

----

2/ I calculated a download of 15 mails p/min when using fetchmail. I
succeeded to get 25 p/min with Eudora & Win 3.11. It's not so much that I
want to talk about speed in the way of "I'm better than you are" but with
1200 to 1400 mails to download and the phonecosts in France being what
they are, I'm looking for anything that might cut the download times. Now
I'm at 1.5 hour for approx. 1400 mails. Am I right to think fetchmail is
working slow or not? And if yes, what would be the problem?

Zoki.
