I understand IDE tape drives are not yet supported by RedHat Linux - is this
correct?
Is it only a matter of time before someone writes the necessary drivers, or
is it just not feasible? If not, perhaps a DOS-based backup of the hard
drive *images* would be an interesting idea. I've seen software which turns
whole partitions into virtual files - the reverse of the loopback filesystem
thingy under Linux - and you can then backup the partitions and back them up
under DOS.
I have a ... (peers under desk) Hewlett Packard Colorado 5Gb internal drive
connected to an IDE port.
Thanks in advance for any assistance or advice: it's much appreciated. :)
