Has anyone been able to get external MIDI (actually a WaveBlaster compatible daughtercard) on a Sound Blaster 16 (non-pnp) working with the Red Hat modularized sound system? -------------------------------------------------------------------- $ cat /dev/sndstat Sound Driver:3.5.4-960630 Kernel: Linux ulthar 2.0.34 #1 Tue Jun 23 02:10:50 EDT 1998 i586 Config options: 0 Installed drivers: Card config: Audio devices: 0: Sound Blaster 16 (4.13) Synth devices: 0: Yamaha OPL-3 Midi devices: Timers: 0: System clock Mixers: 0: Sound Blaster -------------------------------------------------------------------- When I try to use xplaymidi with the -e option I get "no playback device configured". With my previous setup (Red Hat 4.2 with 2.0.34 kernel with the Sound Blaster driver compiled in) it worked fine. Is there a module option I need? Thanks! -- Manuel A.
