Folks, Im trying to upgrade my RH4.2 kernel from 2.0.30 (default that came with CD) to 2.0.34. I've got the RPMs from ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/redhat-5.1/updates/i386/ as someone told me to do... But when I try to install the new kernel I get this error: [root@server RPMS]# rpm -i kernel-2.0.34-1.i386.rpm Data type 9 not supported Well, I really though a kernel release got on a directory of RH5.1 upgrades should not work on my system (RH4.2) but some folks told me it was possible. So, now, what can I do? PS: Why 2.0.34 is not on the 4.2 directory???? __________________________________________________________________ Mauricio Teixeira - Amazonline Internet Provider - Belem/PA/Brazil [EMAIL PROTECTED] - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mauricioteixeira.eti.br (soon!) /"\ \ / CAMPANHA DA FITA ASCII - CONTRA MAIL HTML X ASCII RIBBON CAMPAIGN - AGAINST HTML MAIL / \ -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
