Just got this from the BRU cru, thought people might want to know.

Haven't tested it yet but plan to.

"... but if we were like Microsoft, every time they repainted the lines
on the road you would have to buy a new car. Occasionally your car would
die on the freeway for no reason, and you would just accept this,
restart and drive on. You could only have one person in the car at a
time, unless you bought "Car95" or "CarNT." But then you would have to
buy more seats. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun,
was reliable, five times as fast, twice as easy to drive, but would only
run on 5% of the roads. The airbag system would say "are you sure?"
before going off."

Subject: Timezone Fix!

* List: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

* From: EST Technical Support <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

To All Members of the BRU List with Red Hat;

THE TIMEZONE PROBLEM IS FIXED!!!!!

We received an updated glibc from Red Hat which has been
tested inhouse and, thanks to a handful of RH users, it has
also been tested "in the community."

The file, glibc-2.0.7-18.i386.rpm, is available at our ftp site
and should be available soon from Red Hat at their site:

   EST:  ftp://ftp.estinc.com/pub/linux/  *

   Red Hat:  ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/updates/5.0/i386/

   * Note, this is only for i386 folks, you Alpha-types will
   have to wait for Red Hat to post the new glibc, sorry.

Don't forget to remove the TZ export fix from /etc/bashrc once
you have the new glibc up and running.

Again, thank you for your patience and support of BRU.

The BRU Cru
