Every 20 or so system boots, the filesystem will be checked for
inconsistancies.  That it's checking is not something to be concerned
about.  If it finds any errors and short-circuits your system startup,
then you have something to be concerned about.

You can modify the maximal count (not recommended) using the tune2fs
command.  See the tune2fs(8) man page.
