Yes, Linux does have appletalk support. The software is called Netatalk,
which basically turns your Linux server into an Appleshare server. You
can find more info (the HOWTO) at:

I have used it in the past and haven't had any problems with it.
Also, make sure your kernel has appletalk support compiled in, either as a
module or part of the kernel.
