It happens repeatedly? Does it happen at any particular time, like
immediately after booting, after two days, etc?
If it happens repeatedly, I'd suspect a hardware problem, or corrupt
kernel.
There are a few things you can do:
- Report this problem to [EMAIL PROTECTED], in a properly
formatted bug report. This involves following some instructions included
with the kernel source; hollar if you need help.
- Try a version of the kernel that is later than is shipped with RH. You
can download the source from
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.0/linux-2.0.33.tar.gz
You can find information on compiling the kernel in the Kernel-HOWTO, or
ask for guidance.
