Greetings.
Every day I get this error message just as the login messages appear on
the screen:
hdb: write_intr: status=0xd0 {Busy}
hda: disabled DMA
ide0: reset: success
And one night, dmesg was just loaded with this:

I've never had this problem with RH before, or seen anything like this in
any of the other OSs I use. Can someone tell me what is happening?
System is RH 5.0 on a Cyrix 6x86/Triton II. hda is Maxtor and hdb is a
JTS. The first time it happened, fsck-ing destroyed a alot of my /dev/*
aliases, e.g., /dev/mouse. As I went around repairing the system, I
noticed that I didn't have the problem again until after I got the mouse
working & rebooted.
