YEAH ... -i eth1 



 i have the same thing ... 
apparently traceroute doesnt read properly the kernel routing tables .. 
therefore .. 
if i am assuming you have a local network ( probably a private one and it
is one subnet ... no routing involved ) 
and lets say it is eth0 

then put an alias in your profile ... alias traceroute='traceroute -i eth1'

thats all i know of for now .. 
basically i tried all the possible updates of tracerotue and nothing has
fixed it .. 
it just doesnt like multiple ethernet ifaces ...
