I've been using exmh for over a year and have found it to be excellent.
The latest version in 2.0z and it comes with RH 5.0.
As others have recommended, I think you'd be better off using a 
full-featured program for email and another for filtering. Procmail 
seems to be the best for the latter.

You should really try exmh, it's great!
