OK. I am stupid. I had a previous install of SO 4.0 which I got a new startup
script and libc for from some page (I don't remember where!). Well, I cannot
find this information again, and I lost the old files. If anyone has these
files I would be very appreciative if you would let me know. I have been there
before, I just can't remember which road I took. Thanks in advance.
