Hello,
I have been working on getting the jdk-1.1.3 and/or kaffe to work
on my machine for the past month and a half. Originally with the jdk
1.1.3 package (rpm) I was getting an error that for some reason the
program was looking in the wrong directory for the executable file. I
fixed that by editing the .java_wrapper. Now the jdk does find the
executable portion of the file but it does not find a file called
'libjava.so'. I have looked for this file, and it is there. I only have
the classes.zip file set as the CLASSPATH. It is trying to load this
file. There are three important enviorment variables in the use of the
jdk 1.CLASSPATH 2.JAVA_HOME 3.LD_LIBRARY_PATH . My first question for
anyone who has experience with this, should I be including any other files
in the CLASSPATH? I will proceed with further questions if I recieve any
responses, I don't want to overwhelm you with too many questions at one
time.
