If you want to set up a DNS server, you'll need to install the bind
rpm that comes with your distribution.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE check the updates that Red Hat has issued for
your distribution to make sure that your bind version is the latest
availible. You should be using bind 9.2 .

The next step is to associate a name with every IP address on the
intranet. The exact configuration depends on your exact needs
so please read the documentation. There's a very good book on
Bind and DNS by O'Reilly.

If your DNS needs are simple, you might want to consider using
/etc/hosts instead of DNS.
