Hmmm...patience vs. persistance. They're similar in nature, but apply to different things.
Patience is when you have to explain something for the umpteenth time to a user that will never get it. Persistance is when your forced to deal with sorting out some technical problem. Of something like that anyway... Regardless, forums have been far and away the single most useful thing I've found for gaining knowledge in evolving from Windows to Linux.
