Silly script question - It worked!!!

Thanks for all the help guys!  I haven't tried the -c option for the 
smbclient, but I got away from it altogether by just mounting the windows 
share as a smbs filesystem.  I've scripted it and let it run last night, it 
seems to work just fine.

I may try the other option just to see which is easier and less intrusive 
on the windoze network.  The end result, I hope, will be to make a backup, 
let the Linux box compress the files, then ship them over a T1 to a backup 
server off-site.
