G'day all,
At the most recent quarterly-crash of our Windows 2000 Server, I finally managed to migrate our terminal server to RedHat 8 with the Linux Terminal Server Project! This has been a goal of mine for years.
But I digress; my problem is that we use several different printers, with all of my users being used to selecting the appropriate printer as they print. (Major application of concern is OpenOffice.)
I've noticed that kprinter appears to be a very good replacement for lpr in this respect, but I have not found how to get RedHat using it!
If somebody could give me a point in the right direction, I would truly appreciate it. I have read many fm's now, without success.
My apologies if this has been covered before - the searchable archive of the list doesn't work. :(
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Ant
check lula.org they recently did some work on terminal service project presentation. as far as printer server goes, you may want to setup cups for your general network printing.
