Hi All,
This is probably completely off topic, but I'm hoping that the similarity between RH and HP-UX will be enough...
We've got a HP system connected to our network (which has got some RH boxes on) and the primary ethernet card doesn't work, but is still recognised by the system. The second card is in as lan1, but the system doesn't like it as much as lan0. Any ideas how we can get the system to ignore lan0? It is a built in network interface.
Yes!
What? What do you mean, 'How'? ;-)
HP-UX comes with a tool for all system configuration: sam. It doesn't like Linux's xterm for some reason, but if you log in from a real terminal or from one of Linux's character terminals and set TERM to eg. vt220 it works fine. It's a full screen app and not difficult to use. Choose 'Networks and Communication', then 'Network Interface Cards'.
