As root, if I use the command traceroute, for example I type:
traceroute -l olug.org The only output I get is: 1 * * * 2 * * * 3 * * * 4 * * * Why does it do this and why am I not able to see the ip addresses? Iptables does not startup but if I do iptables -l, [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# iptables -L Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination I've not fooled with iptables, so I am not sure what this means, but all I want to do is get some output that I can understand when using traceroute. thanks -Chris ===== Winning an argument on the internet is like getting 1st place at the Special Olympics ***************************************** GAIM ID: cmmiller1973 ***************************************** __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
