Hello. Does anyone knows any tool that can be used to start applications as user root. I am looking for a tool that would ask for the root password and then launch an application, like what happens when one runs Red Hat configuration applications (like redhat-config-network) as a normal user: a dailog window is open asking for the root password and, which is accepted or rejected, and then the application is run if accepted.
