Dear listmembers, I am currently running RedHat 8.0 on my Celeron 300a system, but in an attempt to make my computer more silent (and quite a bit faster) I ordered the Via Cyrix CPU (running at 1GHz) and the MSI MS-694T Pro Motherboard. It's due here tomorrow, and I suddenly thought of the fact that I don't know if RedHat 8.0 actually supports my setup.
I have looked through the "supported hardware" pages at www.redhat.com without success. My CPU and Motherboard are NOT mentioned there. Neither as being supported or unsupported. Does any of you know if I may safely make the upgrade? And if so, do I have to do anything more than just replacing the hardware? Re-installing? Updating the drivers?
