If I recall, it has something to do with the SESSION MANAGEMENT in the
KDE Control Centre - I just tried hunting it up, but I run KDE 3.1 and
some things have changed in a big way there...

BUT, what you might want to do is to check the SESSION settings on the
machines - even if the screensaver is disabled, there is an auto
time-out that logs a person off after a certain amount of time - of
inactivity...
