Okay, the fix to NIS was rather simple.... get the updated glibc (I thought I had, but I obviously hadn't). Anyway, NIS between HPUX and RH Linux 5.0 works great now! So here's my current problem... I would like to set up this linux box so that it NFS mounts the HPUX 10.20's mail directory, and can recieve mail for these users as well. The problem I am having is that HPUX's sendmail writes (and requires the mail files be written) with 660 permissions. The files are owned by the user, and their group is mail. Linux on the other hand writes the files 600 format.... So here's the question... is this is a Sendmail configurable option? Is it only able to be set at compile time? I can't seem to find any mask settings for the permanent mail file in sendmail.cf. Any help is greatly appreciated. -- Keith Schoenefeld -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Keith Schoenefeld Systems Manager ~ ~ The University of Tulsa [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ ~ Keplinger Hall Room #L1-A (918) 631-2548 ~ ~ 600 S.
