If you go the their site Amanda.org and looking at the mailing list archive, there are documents posted there on how to do backups to disk which is basically how Iomega is looked at, as a disk. ?To find the document I did a search for…

 

backup to hard disk

 

And it was within the first page of results.

Yes I would tink so as you can specify just about anything for backup media -- if it is a device known to linux, than it should be acceptable.
