I have a Tru64 Unix that I want to ssh to from a Redhat Linux, and the Tru64 only allows ssh2. And I also need it to work without passwords.
I have generated a RSA and a DSA key on the Redhat (with ssh-keygen -t rsa and ssh-keygen -t dsa). I have copied the id_rsa.pub into root/.ssh2/authorized_keys on the Tru64, I have copied the id_dsa.pub into root/.ssh2/authorized_keys2 on the Tru64, and I have copied the id_dsa.pub into root/.ssh2/hostkeys/key_22_MYIP.pub on the Tru64 None of this works, I still need to give the password each time... :( Any ideas, what am I doing wrong here?
